Village Farms is one of the largest producers of premium quality, hydroponically grown, greenhouse tomatoes, bell peppers and cucumbers in North America. The Company operates an industry leading vertically integrated production, sales, distribution and marketing organization. In particular, the Company’s strategy focuses on forging strong customer relationships by providing consistent quality product on a year-round basis, and maintaining the highest food safety scores in the industry. Village Farms owns and operates greenhouse facilities in British Columbia and Texas. And in addition markets, sells, and distributes for a number of third party greenhouse growers throughout North America. Village Farms is focused on large scale intensive and efficient agricultural production employing state of the art technology and has been a pioneer in sustainability practices from its inception.

When asked about the company’s technology Mr. DeGiglio stated, "Advancing our technology will further lower our cost of production, increasing our profitability. Developing our intellectual property to further international expansion will not affect our core markets here in North America, but allow other countries to advance in greenhouse technology for their own countries’ consumption and food security."

Regarding the company's current position Mr. DeGiglio stated "From a hygiene, food safety, nutritional, and health perspective, as well as environmental responsibility in our production processes, we’re right in that sweet spot. And as food safety remains a salient theme in the eyes of the consumer, we are strongly positioned and will continue to work diligently to remain on the forefront in our industry in this category."
