Village Farms ‘heavenly’ addition

Eatontown, N.J.-based Village Farms added a new mini plum tomato to its lineup, the Heavenly Villagio Marzano.
The heirloom type plum tomato got its name from the town of San Marzano near Naples, Italy, and is packed in a dry quart size in a zippered stand-up pouch. They’re known for their sweet taste, low acid and few seeds.
Village Farms also has a new logo and packaging concept introduced at the Produce Marketing Association Fresh Summit in mid-October.
